The tee-shirt in the photo with the title looks very dumpy to me.
I would say to some of the women who are worried about their arms to just get over it. With sleeves like those in the photo, I think it makes you look worse.
My favorite place to buy my tees is Land’s End. Since I have a large bust, I look for tees to give me some shape below them, or I end up looking like a house; I don’t like boxy tees. Their rib, which is a 1×1, doesn’t look like it’s ribbed, but I downsize, and it follows my figure without being clingy. Their Supima tees are good quality for women without my problem; they are too generous a fit for me, but are nice and smooth and drapey. Great prices and good quality.
I need to see elbow sleeve t shirts, I need to cover my upper arms. Talbots usually has elbow length white tees, but they are pricy. And why not use age 60+ models!?!
Hi Kathleen,
Unfortunately, stores don’t have 60+ models for all their products. They barely have for some! We can’t do anything about it as we don’t have our own product line.
You can, however, contact stores you like to shop from and let them know you don’t feel represented.
Uh, I think we want to cover the worst of the upper arms, so very short sleeves are not an option.
I’m (apparently) petite, 5’4″, so I dislike “longer” short sleeves, as they sometimes hit my elbows! I WANT shorter sleeves.
This is a site for women over 60 Why can’t there be older models of at least 60’s? Hard to be interested in articles on style when they’re young n slim. Get real!
I agree with you. All we see are the young models.
I do agree as well, but we have no control over other companies’ models. You can reach out to stores though and let them know you feel misrepresented. Thanks for commenting!
AMEN!
Hi Patricia,
And yes, I agree with you. It would be easier for us to just choose older models, but usually there are none or very slim choice. We have no control over web stores and the models they use. You can, however, reach out to your favorite stores and let them know you don’t feel represented. It’s worth a try!
Hi Jani,
Unfortunately, we don’t have our own product line, so we pick products from web stores, and we have no control over what models they choose. Perhaps you should take the question with them? Thanks for commenting!
