I have always wanted to visit a wellness retreat with my husband since we are into wellness and fitness, but the expense has always kept us away. After reading this, I have decided to create my own wellness retreat at home. Part of my wellness is connected to other people and visiting small shops and speaking with people on a beautiful day is a good one for me, also walking in parks or my own backyard, sitting on my deck underneath my umbrellas and doing art and reflecting on good and healthy thoughts.

Excellent! I agree, the costs for these “retreats” can be absolutely unmanageable for so many. Which is why getting creative with it as you have, is so inspiring!!

I agree, Julie! My best friend and I, she living in NYC and me in Boston, recently rented an airbnb apartment in New Haven for the weekend and created our own wellness retreat. We splurged on facials and therapeutic massages, as well as an acoustic vibrational healing session (which I’d never heard of before), ate lunches out, dinners in making beautiful healthy food, and just spent time talking. Also bought a couple of dresses!

That sounds like a great idea.
