After spending my lifelong career in the fashion industry, I just have to laugh at most of the items here. I have cultivated my own fashion look, and can update it with so much of these accessories that I already own. I do not wear costume jewelry, but fortunately have some large pieces to put to use, although I prefer to wear mostly silver. The puffy bags look ridiculous to me; I would never use one. To recommend that 14K gold necklace at over $4,000 and Prada is also ridiculous to me, especially if they’re trends. It’s like the grayish-brown “wood-look” tile people are putting in their homes. Today’s trends are destined to be so “yesterday” at some point, why spend much on them? And who is going to know that you’re so up to date?
I agree. I’m 74, and I live in t-shirts, yoga pants, and HOKAs. I rarely go anywhere that I need to dress up. In fact, if I had to go somewhere this evening in dress clothes, I’d have to rush to a store to buy something. All my professional clothes and shoes are either out of date, given away, or too small. I just wear what I want and don’t really care what anyone else thinks.
