I like a sheath, a simple dress. I add jewelry or not. It’s super comfy, too. Sometimes these are hard to find sleeveless. I do sleeveless so I am layer up or down.
May I suggest looking up Connected Apparel online? I worked for this excellent company before retiring, and they carry a large size range from petite to missy to plus size garments. They sell to major stores like Macy’s, as well as Dress Barn and Kohl’s. Great styles and pricing.
I want to point out that the dresses online are worn by company employees, so you can see them on ‘real people’.

Thank you for commenting. As you know, many online stores simply do not have older models. Which would mean that most clothes are advertised by models who are in their 30s.
However, this very demeaning fact has nothing to do with the clothes themselves. The ones we have selected for this article are very nice and can be worn by women of all ages. What is to stop a 70-year-old woman from choosing one of these dresses? Agism? I would think not!
Please be more open-minded and remember that negative thoughts do tend to bring one’s mood and self-esteem down.
