I and most women my age (65) need a wider toe box. None of these look comfortable to me. Who exactly are you suggesting these for?
Hi Kate,
Not every woman over 50 needs wide shoes. I am well into my 50s and still like to wear dressy shoes for special occasions.
This article is about showing a selection of dressy shoes that may interest some women for the holiday season. They are not meant for daily wear.

Not great choices if you have bunions. I would only be able to wear the ECCO boots.
These shoes are not good for our feet! As an older woman I need a wide shoe box and no heels! Not pointy toed shoes or cute pointy toed boots with heels. Sorry this article was not helpful.
These are not solid choices. Most of us, after the age of 60 (or sometimes, before!) start having orthopedic issues with our feet – and we need really good arch support. These shoes just do not cut it – unless the insoles can be removed and replaced with a good arch-support insole – and those cost at least $50+ . . . So, nope – best to find shoes with good arch supports built in . . .
Vionic Shoes are the best for built-in arch support! They are a little pricey, but worth every penny:)
I love wearing my black Doc Martins. They seem to elevate every outfit – pants as well as dresses/skirts and I get compliments from the younger generations. My style icons are Linda Wright and Diane Keaton. Any other older women fashionistas you or anyone can recommend? Love the inspo, thanks!
Hi Gaili,
Thanks for your comment. I also love Doc Martins! :)
