Agree. I have pretty silvery white coming in and decided when I turned 70 last month:
“Not gonna fight the white!” I had a colorist help me get rid of the dirty blonde I had
been wearing for so long and start adding colors like “sea mist” and “ocean pearl” or
whatever, LOL to bring out a bit of silver. Now I want a little metallic in there, too!
I don’t see any of these being easy to maintain, other than the six to seven week treatments, such as I do with having medium and dark blond woven into my brown hair. I don’t conceal any gray growing in, but it’s still a process that takes maintenance, unless you want to go completely natural. I think that sticking somewhat close to one’s natural color is helpful because the growing-out will look less dramatic.
I let the color go on my hair, and it’s actually turning out to be blonde!!! It’s been about 18 months since I’ve colored it, and I like it. I’m always getting compliments on my hair–I’m 73, and it’s about halfway down my back. I’m wearing it exactly as I did back in the 60s and 70s–long and straight.
