I’ve known about popular makeup brand Bobbi Brown for years, but I’ve never personally tried their products myself until recently.
In this tutorial, I experimented with a foundation that our Sixty and Me community’s favorite guest makeup artist Ariane Poole recommended in a separate video on the best foundation for aging skin, plus a blush and brow shaper that double as a lipstick and hair highlighter!
Bobbi Brown’s foundation is available as a liquid foundation or a cream stick.
The Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation comes in 42 shades while the Skin Foundation Stick comes in 43 shades. I personally chose 3.5 warm beige to match my skin color.
The liquid foundation has a matte finish, but it produced a very soft glow on my skin. This foundation is perfect when I film my videos and I need a “second skin” on my face. The product is true to its name – it doesn’t feel like there’s coating on your face.
I didn’t use a concealer, but Bobbi Brown’s foundation stick worked just as nicely to cover my aging spots after I finished applying the liquid foundation.
The cream color compact can be used for both your cheeks and lips, but I used it more as a blush than for lip color. The rose shade left a lovely non-glossy effect on my skin.
The product provided the color and texture needed by my thinning and graying eyebrows. The brow shaper starts creamy but dries to a powder.
The brow shaper is also a hair highlighter and can color the areas around your face where graying hairs appear.
I chose guava, a bright coral shade of pink, from the 30 colors available in Bobbi Brown’s luxe lipstick line. This product might just replace Estée Lauder’s frosted apricot, which I have been loyal to for the past 30 years.
These other products completed my look:
Ariane Poole’s Eyeshine is my choice for eye shadow primer. I love the way it dries matte.
I applied beige-ish taupe eyeshadow, which gave off a lovely shimmer, before putting on a darker brown shade to brighten my eyes.
I recommend this mascara if you want your eyelashes to be more visible. The thick brush worked wonderfully without any flaking or clumping on my lashes. It felt like my eyelashes were pulled up after I applied the mascara, and they stayed that way for a long time. I like the way the product was developed to wash off easily.
