Recently, I had the pleasure of interviewing celebrity stylist, Denise McAdam, on the topic of thinning hair. During the interview, we talked about the importance of taking a balanced approach to this problem. This means using a combination of nutrition, exercise and, of course, the right hair products, to fight back against thinning hair.
Denise gave some great recommendations, but, it was the conversation that started after I posted the interview that surprised me the most.
One of our community members mentioned that she had found a shampoo for thinning hair that had helped her tremendously. Within a few minutes, she had more than 10 responses from other women who were desperate to discover her secret.
Was she using Redken Body Full, Pureology PureVolume, Burt’s Bees Very Volumizing Pomegranate and Soy Shampoo, L’Oréal Professional Age Densiforce Shampoo or something else entirely? I guess we’ll never know, because she offered to share her secret directly with the women who asked.
What struck me was how passionate the women in our community were about this topic. It’s clear that most of us are still struggling to find a shampoo that works as well as we would like it to.
It was all very mysterious and it got me wondering – what is the best shampoo for thinning hair? Surely, between us, we have tried every possible product imaginable. I’m sure that more than a few of us have found shampoos that actually do the trick.
So, I’d love to get your feedback on this. Let’s all share our shampoo recommendations in the comments below. I’ll take your favorites and update this article in the near future.
