Like so many things in life, anxiety and depression are often over-simplified in the movies and on TV. And, while tears and social isolation can indeed come with both of these conditions, the reality is often more complicated. So, today, I would like to share an article by one of our bloggers, Dr. Margaret Rutherford, on the topic of “Perfectly Hidden Depression.” This is a phenomenon that occurs when we hide our depression from others… or mask it with perfectionism, over-responsibility and plenty of forced smiles. I think you will find her connection to the show “Grace and Frankie” fascinating. Join us for a cup of tea (or coffee) and a chat. And, if you enjoy the show, please tell one friend about us today. Your support means so much to me!
