Weird and Wacky Uses for Common Kitchen Items

By Margaret Manning July 03, 2015 Lifestyle

Kitchens are wonderful places. They are full of magic ingredients and can transform a meal and a family.

Many women love their kitchens, which are filled with memories of preparing delicious family meals, sharing conversations and making tough decisions over a cup of tea. That’s not even to mention those late night visits to the fridge to devour one final piece of cheesecake!

I am absolutely NOT speaking from experience by the way! Well, in any case, like I was saying – kitchens have a power and so do the ingredients we find in them.

Did you know that many common kitchen items can be used in wonderfully unusual ways?

Coconut oil, for example, can be used for cooking, but, it is also an excellent hair conditioner or body moisturizer.

Olive oil is another magic elixir that is great to eat but that also makes an amazing body scrub when mixed with sugar or gentle salt.

We all know that avocados and oatmeal have great nutritional value, but, did you know that they also make wonderful body treatments?

Small yoghurt jars are perfect for holding beads and buttons.

And, don’t forget that you can use baking powder to clean up all kinds of stains.

Of course, I’m by no means an expert in the kitchen; so, most of you are probably familiar with all of the double-uses that I have listed here. In fact, you probably know 100s more that I have never heard of!

I’d love to hear your kitchen secrets! Please answer the questions below and “like” and share this article to keep the conversation going!
