It’s pretty hard to believe that the mother-daughter pair of actresses, Goldie Hawn, 72, and Kate Hudson, 39, have never appeared in an interview together before visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week.

But after the hilarity that ensued during their visit where they chatted about Hudson’s pregnancy, shared previous birthing room stories, and discussed Hawn’s humorous hospital antics – we’re pretty sure that everyone will be requesting that this dynamic duo appear in interviews together more often.

Hudson was clearly pregnant and appeared to be very close to her due date, joking with Ellen that her “water could go at any second,” to which Ellen cleverly responded that she has “tongs and mitt” in case Hudson needs to give birth on the show.

This naturally led to a little walk down memory lane where it was revealed just how quirky Hawn’s past delivery room antics were for the previous births of Hudson’s sons, Bingham, 7, with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy, and Ryder, 14, with ex-husband Chris Robinson.

Delivery Room Antics and Burning Questions

The Overboard actress, Hawn, admitted that during her daughter’s last birth, which included 18-hours of labor, her hunger got the better of her, explaining, “I got hungry! She was in the stirrups and everything and was dilated. So, I said, ‘I’m really hungry, I’m just going to come back,’ I came back with pizza and Doritos.”

But food wasn’t the only thing that Hawn equipped the delivery room with for the birth of son, Bingham – Hudson shares that Hawn arrived with a giant magnolia flower, explaining, “She wanted me to think of my vagina as a magnolia flower and I was like I never want to think of my vagina that big ever!”

Hawn playfully responds, “But it was going to open and that’s what the flower did.”

Hudson also recalls one of her favorite memories from giving birth to son, Bingham, when Hawn called her during labor and said, “So, I’m about to take a swim and I was going to get a massage. How long do you think you’re going to be in labor?”

Clearly, Hawn has figured out the secret to staying calm during the birth of a grandchild!

The three women continued to chit-chat before playing a truth revealing game that Ellen refers to as, “Burning Questions”, which led to some eye-opening discoveries for everyone involved.

Questions surrounding the use of handcuffs, public nudity, and even a confession about stealing Hawn’s Ferrari for a joy-ride were revealed during the hilarious game.

Overall, the entire visit with Hawn and Hudson was not only incredibly entertaining, but incredibly heartwarming to witness the true mother-daughter bond that exists between the two longtime Hollywood stars and to see Hawn’s obvious excitement at welcoming her soon-to-be sixth grandchild!
