Do women over 60 still care about beauty, sex and romantic love? Do we still dare to use the word “sexy” when describing a man we find attractive? Sixty and Me, a global community of 100,000 women over 60, is ready to set the record straight on both counts, by voting for the sexiest man over 60 for 2015.
Our list was made up of fabulous, well-known actors, musicians (and one politician) who have turned heads and won hearts for many years. Admittedly, this year’s winner does have a bit of a head start. In 1999, he was given the title of “sexiest man alive”. This could have had something to do with his full frontal nude scene that year in “American Gigolo,” but, I digress.
Since then, he has gone on to develop a persona that appeals to women of all ages – intelligent, independent, playful, self-confident and sensual. So, without further delay…
Given his popularity among our audience, the decision to cast Richard Gere in the upcoming “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” seems perfect. Not only is Richard drop-dead gorgeous, but, he appeals to us older gals on a deeper level. In some ways, he seems totally unaware of the impact he has on women, and is beautifully humble, while exuding charisma. He appreciates the sensuous side of life, but has a kind of detachment that makes him mysterious.
This year’s runner-up was Pierce Brosnan, who has also worked his way into the hearts of the women in our community.
Here are this year’s results. Please let us know whether you agree or disagree with them in the comments section at the end of this article.
