When it comes to taking care of your aging skin, it’s difficult to know where to turn for advice.
Sure, there are plenty of companies who would be more than happy to sell you their latest expensive cream, but, how do you know which ones actually work?
There are a few experts, like the amazing Ariane Poole, who offer balanced advice on skin care for aging skin. But, the majority simply want to sell more products.
For my part, I always do my best to seek out unbiased advice for the Sixty and Me community. In a recent article, I recommended the following for keeping your skin healthy and vibrant as you get a little older:
At the same time, I am limited in how much I can research. With so many articles to write and videos to produce, I simply can’t become an “expert” in any one area. This is where all of you, the wonderful women of the Sixty and Me community, come in.
Collectively, you have more wisdom than a team of “experts.” You have tried every skin care combination under the sun. You have heard all of the “anti-aging” messages and chosen which ones to ignore. You have moisturized, exfoliated, scrubbed, rubbed and nurtured your skin. Some of the time, your experiments were successful. Other times… well, let’s just say that we’re glad skin grows back!
I’d love to hear your experiences with taking care of your skin after 60. Please watch the following video with Ariane and I as we discuss how to take care of your skin. Then, answer one or more of the following questions in the comments section at the end of this article.
What do you do to keep your skin in good shape?
What is your favorite brand of moisturizer?
What brand of sunscreen do you use?
Do you take any vitamins for your skin?
What other skin care tips would you offer your Sixty and Me sisters?
