At 65, Sigourney Weaver Has Almost as Many Films to Her Name as Years Behind Her

Great news, Sigourney Weaver fans! Not only is Sigourney working on Alien 5, which is expected to release in 2017, but she is also expected to appear in three sequels to Avatar, the highest grossing movie of all time.

Weaver has always been known for her tenacity and energy, so, perhaps it’s not surprising that she has almost as many films to her name as she has years behind her.

While she is only 65 years young, she has completed 59 films, making her one of the most prolific actresses alive today.

You might think that, after being in 59 films, Weaver would be ready to slow down, but, this is clearly not the case. According to IMDB, Weaver has several films lined up for the next few years, including Alien 5, A Monster Calls and several sequels to the hit movie Avatar.

Weaver is a true inspiration – on and off the screen. In addition to being an extremely talented actress, she is a living proof that life only begins at 50. Rather than slowing down and accepting a life of leisure, Weaver is just getting started.
