Michelle Obama Announces Release Date for “Deeply Personal” Memoir

By Sixty and Me February 28, 2018 News

Like many women who have found themselves in the role of First Lady, Michelle Obama transcends politics. While the world debates whether her husband, Barack Obama was the best president of all time… or the worst, Michelle’s is supremely popular with the majority of Americans.

In fact, as her family departed the White House, in late 2017, Michelle Obama had an approval rating of 68%. That’s according to this Gallup poll.

In other words, she is more popular than Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Sarah Palin and pretty much everyone else on both sides of the political aisle.

Of course, you could argue that she has an advantage over these politicians since she is able to stand aside from the constant battles in Washington. But, even so, her approval numbers are impressive!

More importantly, Michelle Obama is a graceful, ethical, passionate and inspirational woman. She has worked tirelessly to support school children, local communities and women across the country.

Michelle Obama’s Memoir Releases November 13

So, given Michelle’s popularity, it is not surprising that readers across the country are waiting with anticipation for her memoir. If this sounds like you, you won’t have long to wait now.

According to a recent post on Twitter, Michelle Obama’s memoir is scheduled to release on November 12, 2018.

In the same post, Michelle Obama described the process of writing her upcoming memoir as, “A deeply personal experience.” She goes on to express her hope that her memoir will inspire people to find their true selves.

A Work of Deep Reflection and Mesmerizing Storytelling

On her website, where you can sign up for updates about Michelle’s upcoming book, her memoir is described as “A work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling.” It continues, “(In her memoir) Michelle Obama invites readers into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her—from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work, to her time spent at the world’s most famous address.”

Personally, I can’t wait to hear Michelle’s story and I look forward to sharing my thoughts with you here. In a time of such political distrust and anger, it’s nice to know that we still have people like Michelle, who transcend politics.
