I’m writing this, while wearing my luxurious homemade coffee face mask. Hopefully I’ll make it through the whole article without any of the beautiful mixture falling on my computer. Wish me luck!
As you know, I’m not a big fan of anti-aging products. At the same time, just because I don’t believe in magical pills and potions doesn’t mean that I don’t like playing with makeup and handmade face masks.
I don’t want to look younger. I just want to look and feel my best! Don’t you agree?
Creating face masks and scrubs from natural ingredients that you already have in your house is a lot of fun!
So, today, I’d like to share my favorite coffee, yogurt, coconut oil and lemon face scrub. This is so simple to make and it makes your skin feel fantastic!
As always, be sure to test a bit of the mixture on your arm before applying it to your face. Waiting about 20 minutes to see if there is any reaction is a good idea. Once you know that you aren’t allergic to any of the components, you’re ready to have some fun.
As you know, I love simple recipes. So, today, I’m going to be using 4 natural ingredients that most of us already have in our kitchens – coffee, yogurt, coconut oil (or olive oil) and lemon juice. Here are the measurements that you’ll need to follow along:
2 tablespoons of coffee
2 tablespoons of Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
A squeeze of lemon juice
Making your own homemade coffee face mask is super easy.
First, put your coffee and Greek yogurt together into a bowl.
Next, add your coconut oil. You could also use virgin olive oil if you don’t have any coconut oil on hand.
Then, add a squeeze of lemon juice. I’m using a real lemon, but, you could use natural lemon juice from a bottle as well.
Finally, mix all 3 ingredients together. Voila! Your homemade coffee face mask is ready to go!
Now, all that’s left to do is sit back and relax. Turn on some relaxing music. Have a cup of your favorite tea. Think about all of the wonderful things in your life. You deserve this little moment of luxury. You’ve earned it!
