Bridges and Bronsan are staring together again! Not since the 1996 flick “The Mirror Has Two Faces” have Bridges and Brosnan fans had an opportunity to see both leading men side by side on the big screen.
This will change when the dashing duo return to theaters this month in the Amazon Studios’ drama “The Only Living Boy in New York”.
Jeff Bridges and Pierce Brosnan star opposite of Callum Turner, Kate Beckinsale, and Kiersey Clemons in this coming of age film about Thomas, a recent college grad (Turner) who learns that his father (Brosnan) is having an affair with a much younger woman (Beckinsale).
Bridges plays Thomas’s eccentric neighbor and mentor that offers both advice and strong drink quite freely.
In an effort to save his mother from the pain of an affair, Thomas tries to come between his father and “the other woman” by sleeping with his father’s mistress, creating even greater chaos in this already sticky web of deceit.
Throw in a good friend turned hopeful girlfriend (Clemons) to the mix and you have a recipe for relational disaster.
With a throwback to Simon & Garfunkel’s 1970s hit by the same name, “The Only Living Boy in New York” opens in theaters in the United States on August 11.
We can’t wait to see Bridges and Bronsan and action again. If the trailer is anything to go by, we won’t be disappointed!
