Some of our older Sixty and Me sisters probably remember watching Psycho when it first released in 1960. But, even those of who were too young to experience this iconic movie when it launched, saw the iconic “shower scene” at some point in our lives. Janet Leigh was brilliant in many of her films, but, she will forever be remembered for her role in Psycho, for which she won a Golden Globe Award.
Sadly, Janet Leigh died in 2004 at the age of 77, but, she still lives on through her work.
As a tribute to her mother and in celebration of her new film, Scream Queens, Jamie Lee Curtis recently recreated the famous shower scene. What do you think? Does she look like her mom, or what?

There are two things that I love about this story. First, I appreciate the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis’ mom is still in her thoughts. It’s a reminder of how small tributes can keep our memories alive. Second, I’m so glad that, at age 56, Jamie Lee Curtis isn’t slowing down. Ok, 56 isn’t “old,” by any stretch of the imagination, but, in Hollywood, getting older is tough. I hope she keeps doing what she loves for many years to come!
Let’s get a conversation started!
What do you think of Jamie Lee Curtis’ tribute to her mom? Did you see the original Psycho film? Did you like it? What is your favorite Jamie Lee Curtis film of all time? Please join the conversation.
