Rita Wilson, 62, is no stranger to standing by her husband, Tom Hank’s side at the myriad of events and premieres that he attends.
However, this past week, it was Hanks and the couple’s two children who were showing their support as Wilson took the stage to perform music from her latest album, Halfway to Home, released in late March.
With her fourth album release receiving glowing reviews, in addition to recently receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rita Wilson is definitely living her best life ever.
Her son, Chet, 28, confirmed just how well his Mom is doing by documenting her performance of her hit song, “Big City Small Town Girl” on the second night of the Stagecoach country music festival on his social media with the caption, “@ritawilson momma killing it,” with three flame emojis.
Wilson’s latest album his been a hit with fans and perfectly illustrates the notion that she is truly enjoying her life these days with its carefree melodies and celebratory lyrics.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE magazine, Wilson said this about Halfway to Home, ““[The album] is for singing along at the top of your lungs and for celebrating life. Especially going on tour, I wanted songs that felt like the story of this album, which is a celebration of life and love. Look, I get to make music and am playing Stagecoach and touring this summer. What better way to celebrate good health, love and life?”
Wilson fully embraced the country-style of the Stagecoach music festival by wearing a sparkly Tom Ford cowgirl ensemble complete with a large belt buckle, plenty of embroidery, and a cowgirl hat.
Hanks kept his country-style a bit more understated with black shorts, a white button down, and a red bandana a straw hat for some country-flair.
The Wilson-Hanks family posed for several pictures that they posted on social media to share the exciting experience with fans, including one with the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Wilson captioning the photo, “When you ‘open’ for #lynyrdskynyrd at @stagecoach What is my life?!?!?! #stagecoach.”
Check out Wilson’s new album, Halfway to Home, by purchasing it or catch her on tour; she will hit the road this summer on tour starting June 5 in Atlanta.
