No matter how strong we are, we all feel sorry for ourselves once in a while. To a certain extent, this is natural. After all, by the time we reach our 60s, we have a lifetime of “mistakes,” problems and worries swirling around in our minds. Unfortunately, while self-pity is natural, it isn’t terribly productive. In fact, I have come to the conclusion that feeling sorry for yourself can actually prevent you from taking the positive steps necessary to solve your problems.
