How to Choose a Roommate After 60 – Advice from the Golden Girls Network (Video)

By Margaret Manning September 09, 2015 Lifestyle

One potential solution to the problem of loneliness in retirement is finding a roommate. But, if you are like most of us, you don’t want just any roommate – you want someone who shares your interests and is fun to live with.

In this episode of the Sixty and Me show, Golden Girls Network founder, Bonnie Moore, gives us some tips for how to find a roommate.

Bonnie says that women should break their requirements into “deal breakers” (smoking, pets, alcohol usage etc) and other less important considerations like personality. All of this starts with knowing yourself and what your issues are.

I hope that you enjoy my conversation with Bonnie.

What do you think is the best way to find a roommate after 60? What one thing would you look for in a roommate? Please join the conversation.
