Bruce Willis is Unbreakable at Age 63

By Margaret Manning March 19, 2018 News

Happy 63rd birthday, Bruce Willis!

As an action star, you’ve tumbled down stairs, leapt from helicopters, and even shot yourself, all in the name of getting the bad guy. But, today, you are taking on your most challenging role yet – the role of an unbreakable man at 63, challenging aging stereotypes and chasing your dreams.

Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that Bruce Willis has some advantages over the rest of us “mortal” 60-something-year-olds.

As an A-list celebrity, he has an army of personal trainers, nutritionists and helpers on hand to help him reach his goals. At the same time, no matter how much help he gets, you have to admire his endurance.

Bruce Willis Isn’t Slowing Down

At an age that the world expects us to start “slowing down,” Bruce is speeding up. He has released tons of movies in the last few years, including Rock the Kasbah, Wake, Extraction, Captive and “The Bombing.”

In addition, he is actively involved with the Bruce Willis Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of young people.

In all seriousness, stars like Bruce Willis are important in the fight against ageism because they offer a counterpoint to the stereotypical “older” characters that we usually see in movies.

We can’t all be celebrities, like Bruce, but, we can celebrate the fact that life after 60 is just the beginning.

Happy 63rd Birthday Bruce!

So, happy 63rd birthday Bruce Willis! Congratulations on being the part of the most exclusive club on Earth – the army of women over 60 who want to live well, not die hard.

Here are a few pictures of Bruce Willis to spark your memory of all of the amazing things that he has done.

Are you a Bruce Willis fan? What’s your favorite of his movies? Do you agree or disagree that celebrities have an important role to play in changing aging stereotypes? Why or why not? Please join the conversation.
