Like many grandparents, I live in another city (actually, another country) from one of my grandchildren. So, whenever, I am able to visit her, it is a big deal for both of us.

In the days leading up to my visit, I feel a childish sense of anticipation as I think about all of the fun things that we are going to do together. Then, when I arrive, the warm welcome that I receive charges my little grandma batteries with enough joy to last a year!

There is something so magical about the look on a child’s face when they see you after a long break. They light up with unconditional love in a way that most adults simply can’t.

As a grandma, there is simply no better feeling. Wouldn’t you agree?

A Magical Welcome by an Adorable Grandson (Video)

Well, today, I saw a short video that has made me seriously consider keeping my next visit to Scotland a secret. In it, a couple surprises their grandson by showing up out of the blue. The result is magical!

As their grandson spots their car in the driveway and finally realizes what is happening, he lights up with joy. He squeals as they come through the door and runs over to show them his marble run.

With so much craziness in the world, I wanted to take a break from breaking news and share this video with you. I hope that it supercharges you and helps you to start your day in a positive way.

I can’t wait to try this on my next trip. Although, if I am honest, I don’t think that I will be able to keep my visit a secret. I guess we’ll see!
