Diane Keaton to Appear in Finding Nemo Sequel, Finding Dory

By Margaret Manning October 30, 2015 Mindset

I don’t know about you, but, I am so happy that my favorite actors and actresses are continuing to work into their 60s, 70s and beyond. Older performers like Sam Elliott, Judi Dench and Diane Keaton are fighting aging stereotypes and showing that they are still at the top of their game.

In addition to taking roles in new films, many older actors and actresses are extending their work into animated films. We recently talked before about the fact that Sam Elliott is scheduled to appear in the upcoming Pixar movie, The Good Dinosaur.

Now, Disney has announced that Diane Keaton will feature in the upcoming Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory. Personally, I can’t wait to see them both!

Finding Dory is Coming June 17, 2016

Finding Dory is about the title character’s search for her roots. As she travels back to her original home, she deals with her forgetfulness and makes plenty of new friends along the way. In the upcoming film, Diane Keaton plays Dory’s mother. I think she’s a great choice!

There aren’t too many additional details about the film at this time, since it isn’t scheduled to release until mid-2016. Given the success of the first Finding Nemo film, I hope that the team does this one justice.

Did you or your grandkids enjoy the original Finding Nemo film? Will you be taking your grandkids to see this one? Are you a fan of Diane Keaton? Please join the conversation.
