Recently, I had the pleasure of talking with the radiant and inspiring Cindy Joseph about how the pro-age revolution is impacting the world of makeup for older women. Cindy is a make-up artist, supermodel, and CEO of her own cosmetics company.
Cindy Joseph, like many women over 60, has never accepted the status quo. She has challenged the beauty business from within as a successful model in her 50’s and as a makeup artist in earlier decades.
One of the things that I like most about Cindy is that she doesn’t see a contradiction between enjoying makeup and embracing your natural beauty. She simply believes that the primary focus of makeup for older women should be to make you feel like a million bucks. I couldn’t agree more!
After all, real beauty comes from having a radiant smile and shining personality.
When we feel good about ourselves, we are more likely to show our best attributes to the world. We don’t need to look younger to feel better.
Cindy also has a rebellious attitude to aging. In our conversation, she explains how today her passion is to promote a Pro-Age revolution (instead of Anti-Aging) where women are valued for their inner beauty. We discuss cultivating self-confidence and creating a natural beauty that reflects a woman’s wisdom and life experience – not being a slave to cosmetics and the stereotypes of aging in society today.
Cindy is the master of reinvention and, in our talk, she discusses about how women in their 60’s are a strong, bohemian and bold group capable of great strength and transformation. She celebrates getting “better,” not older, and shares her passion for empowering women to celebrate a natural approach to beauty.
During our talk, she introduces her cosmetic line BOOM which encourages transparency that allows wisdom and a joyful, confident inner spirit to shine. Enjoy the show!
Hope you enjoy our conversation and please share your thoughts on the subject of pro vs. anti-aging in the comments below.
