There is no doubt that the women in our community love their pets. They are our best friends, confidants and exercise coaches. They keep us warm on long winter nights and get us out of the house during the sweltering summer heat.
According to the latest research, people with pets may even live longer! Why? Because, stroking a pet gives our body a shot of oxytocin, a stress-reducing hormone that lowers blood pressure and heart rate.
Well, with all of the craziness going on in the world right now – and considering just how much the women in our community love their own pets – I thought that I would take a moment to share this soothing video of a man playing guitar for us dog, Maple.
For starters, there is something about watching the interplay between a man and his best friend that brings a smile to your face. Watching him play also reminded me of how much I loved my own dogs before they passed away.
Second, on a slightly more serious level, I love the fact that this gentleman has found a way to share his love for his pet with the world and, hopefully, make a little money from it!
There are so many women in our community who have a passion, but, who are afraid to share it with the world. We tend to think that we need to be able to do something “serious” to turn it into a business.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
Do you love reading books to your grandkids (or your cat, for that matter)? Why not record your next story time and share it with the world?
Are you passionate about your vegetable patch? Why not take us along for the ride the next time you decide to do a little gardening?
Does your cat always curl up in your lap when you do a little knitting? Why not teach us a few things while we listen to your cat purring away?
Are you going to become a millionaire by posting videos to YouTube? Probably not. But, could you make the world a happier place, while making a little extra money? Absolutely!
So, why not take a page out of Trench and Maple’s book and upload an uplifting or useful video to YouTube today?
Or, if this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea… you could simply enjoy watching Trench playing guitar for his dog. It looks like he has plenty of love to share on his YouTube channel, which features dozens of videos with Maple. Enjoy!
