Remember that most apps will automatically charge your account after the free trial period. Make sure to check your subscriptions on the App Store or Google Play store and manage them closely.

Kim, I have used the Calm app for 5 or 6 years now, & at AUS$89/year, I don’t agree that it is “ridiculously expensive”. That’s about AUS$7.50 a week which is about $1 per day. I have gained heaps of benefit from this app, & with the choices of people, mind relaxation, music, exercises etc available, it really is a great investment.
Most of us survived pretty well before cell phones and apps frankly but there are, I’m sure, some useful ones out there. I loved the tv commercial for Calm and wanted to get it. It is ridiculously expense frankly so I passed. Put on some nice calming meditative music on You Tube for free.
Perhaps try Insight timer for meditation. Courses are not free, but everything else is. A lot of individual meditations and yes huge amount of music. I recommend it.
