The Benefits of Tea – Jesse Jacobs (Video)

In this episode of the Sixty and Me Show I had the pleasure of sharing my own passion for tea with Jesse Jacobs, the founder of Samovar Tea Lounge, based in San Francisco.

We discussed many aspects of the art of tea, including important things to consider when choosing a specific kind of tea (oolong tea, green tea, white tea, pu-erh tea, and the many herbal teas) and the health benefits of tea. Enjoy the show!

We also talked about the importance of the drinking tea as a meditative ritual – how doing this in a mindful way creates an experience that helps to reduce stress and create peace in our over active world.

On a practical level, Jesse gave an excellent short beginners’ course on getting started with tea. In addition, he explained how to mediate with tea and how this simple practice can help us deal with the complex world around us. We even talked about why taking your date out for a pot of tea may be a great romantic move. Enjoy the Show!
